Young Cultural Ambassadors event at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre

The Young Cultural Ambassadors event at Hartlepool Town Hall theatre on June 16th was a fantastic night and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed it as much as we did!

We had a fantastic line-up of artists and performers who made us proud of the creativity we have right here in Hartlepool and the surrounding area.
Hosted by comedian Patrick Monahan, the event also featured a performance of a new First World War-themed play by the Seeds of Change youth project and a talk by local author and animator Niel Bushnell, who recounted how he became a published author and worked on television shows like Dr Who.

Local photographer Lucinda Grange explained how her passion for adventure has taken her around the world and there was high- energy entertainment from talented b-boy dancers Bad Taste Cru and juggling, uni-cycling and aerial acrobatics from young performers 5 Ring Circus.

The young people who attended were also able to find out more about a host of upcoming opportunities involving young people including a ‘Build a Band’ music project, First World War-related activities and Young Cultural Ambassadors sessions where they will be able to put forward and develop future activities.

Arts 4 Teens Seeds of Change will be performing “Local Heroes” at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre on Saturday 9th of August. It’s the result of a 2 year project based on World War 1 and is researched, written and performed by the group. To book your tickets contact Nichola.mcintosh@hartlepool.gov.uk
